We are looking for a User Acceptance / Business Acceptance Test Manager to join our team, focusing on defining and implementing programme level testing across our growing client portfolio. You will have the opportunity to work across many different projects using a wide variety of technologies, and tools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of real retail/ecommerce experience across many different client engagement and the ability to work in complex and challenging environments, with strong stakeholder management skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Fulfils a key customer-facing role on the Test Management team in delivering Business Acceptance Test phases and live proving
  • Authors key test planning & phase closure artefacts: Business Acceptance Test Approach, Business Stakeholder Heatmap, Comms Plan and Test Completion Report
  • Responsible for the management of the Business Acceptance test phases including the preparation and execution of testing
  • Provides guidance, oversight, governance, thought-leadership & tech support to business & Program colleagues in delivering the Business Acceptance test phases, E2E
  • Ensures test phase alignment with colleague training plans
  • Provides accurate and timely MI/reporting against plan & transparent auditability at all times
  • Contributes to RAID logs & pro-actively manages risks & issues to closure
  • Proactively manages business stakeholders at all levels
  • Provides support to other test workstreams where required
  • Delivering within large test programmes across multiple workstreams, vendors and delivery methodologies
  • Determines & document detailed test estimates and strategies to allow the Spike95 sales team to produce the necessary proposals and delivery plans
  • Supporting the Spike95 sales team in the pre-sales process


Required skills:

  • Proven experience in defining and developing test strategies and/or approaches for multiple projects
  • Highly skilled & experienced in complex business test phase planning & co-ordination across multiple work streams, teams, locations & skill-sets
  • Collaborate with and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders, resources and teams
  • Ability to work at senior/strategic and lower level process/technical levels
  • Previous experience working in the retail industry
  • Proven reputation in delivering as part of large-scale mission-critical change programmes
  • Agile Software Development Lifecycle Processes and Methodologies
  • Understand evolving technology and test techniques, technologies and tooling

Start Date May 2021

Rate £65k - £80k per annum
