Position Summary:

This multi-faceted position plays several key roles in our client processes by leading a team of direct reports comprised of quality assurance analysts and training professionals. Critical to the implementation of all browser-based projects, the Quality Lead will guide the functional process between development and client expectations to ensure unsurpassed quality throughout the project process. This team is highly collaborative and client facing. The leader of this team will have knowledge of all clients and projects in execution and will work to set expectations for the delivered product.

Accountabilities of the Quality Lead

Lead, Manage, Hold Accountable

  • Support and promote the company values and culture
  • Recruit, reward and recognize employees
  • Provide the necessary training opportunities, tools and resources for success
  • Delegate and elevate appropriately
  • Give clear direction
  • Hold quarterly conversations and provide performance feedback to direct reports, providing appropriate feedback to encourage individual as well as team growth and development

Quality Assurance Process Ownership

  • Defines the process with which C2 executes quality assurance efforts across projects and ongoing client support
  • Ensures all testing is well defined, planned, documented, and executed
  • Oversees quality assurance testing outcomes, understanding correlations of quality assurance accuracy and required scope and resourcing
  • Oversees regression testing process, supporting quality deployments

Training Development & Client Adoption

  • Oversees client training and client adoption practices
  • Drives the necessary training documentation and/or facilitation process

Maintain Quality Assurance KPI's

  • Manage and regularly report on key delivery metrics, including the following:
  • Planned resource utilization
  • Actual resource utilization
  • Test planning, execution and issue identification
  • Introduce and shape additional team KPI's for increased team accountability

Support Ongoing Sales & Account Management

  • Scope quality assurance tasks
  • Involved as needed in new client sales and project scoping for quality specification and quality assurance tasks
  • Work with delivery and account management teams to identify, qualify and quantify opportunities for the business analyst and quality assurance team's contribution

Quality Assurance Tool Ownership

  • Ensure the team is using the proper tools to define functional requirements, incorporating CMS best practices, UX concerns, development concerns and client expectations
  • Ensure the team is using the proper tools to document test plans and additional tools required for supporting all test plan execution, including browser or mobile devise testing
  • Contribute toward test automation process definition and implementation

CMS Functional Use Voice of Expertise

  • Serve as C2's primary product advocate related to the functional use and application of the CMS, with tasks including but not limited to:
  • Serve as a point of contact between the product team and the product needs noted by client
  • Learn and note upcoming product features, strategically tying the roadmap into both current and future project quality plans
  • Communicate upcoming product features to the C2 team and to clients as appropriate

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree specializing in business with a technical discipline, IT, computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a related field.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience leading a team of direct reports.


The C2 Group is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We support a flexible and remote work environment. Our preference for this position will be candidates located in Michigan or the Midwest area allowing for occasional trips to Grand Rapids.
