We are seeking a suitable qualified and experienced Business Development Manager who is dedicated within this field. Our Client is a well established company with the construction industry specialising in training and certification for anyone seeking work or progression within the sector.  We are looking for a Business Development Manager to come on board to deliver on securing apprenticeship funding as a sub contractor through FE colleges and other training institutions, in the first instance.

You will be required to develop a database of leads and engage with them to get funding to deliver training as a subcontractor. Initial target will be to secure funding within the first 3 months of engagement. Once successful, then the possibility of a permanent contract will be explored. 

The role will be completely remote but may require travel to meet and engage with clients as necessary.


Business Development Manager general responsibilities are:

  • Developing strategies relating to customer satisfaction and growth within the financial sector of the company

  • Conducting researches to fulfil customers' needs and to also identify new markets

  • Arranging meeting with clients

  • Assisting with the promotion of the company's products/services

  • Preparing contracts

  • Giving positive feedback to clients

  • Building rapport with customers


Business Development Manager requirements are:

  • Experience as a Business Development Manager

  • Experience within the apprenticeship and/or NQV environment

  • Good customer service attitude

  • Familiar with salesforce and MS Office

  • Proven sales track record

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Excellent at building rapport with customers

  • BA/BSc in Business, Marketing or a related field
