Salary circa £45,000 + up to 10% bonus (quarterly objective based) + a host of other Group benefits.
A bit about us...
We’re Park IT - a young software house providing solutions for airports, car sales and service operators. Based near Birmingham Airport we are part of the Holiday Extras Group (one of the Sunday Times Top 100 companies to work for). We employ amazing people and give them the freedom to deliver brilliant things. We’re looking for a new software engineer to join our team and help with a series of mission-critical projects.
What you would be doing...
As a developer at ParkIT you will be working in a collaborative environment where there are no stupid questions. You will be working on NodeJS microservices with MySQL database storage. We follow Scrum methodology, working in two week sprints; so you'll be involved in all the usual stuff from planning to retrospectives. You don't have to be a NodeJS developer as you will get all the support you need to develop those skills. We work closely with a UK based development agency and this role would include working closely with developers from both the internal and external teams.
Not all routes to this role will be the same but there are some core characteristics we’re expecting to see from you:
- 2-3 years experience, preferably B2B but not essential
- Product engagement, to deliver best solution technically
- Technical engagement, to learn and share knowledge
- Recognise what good looks like, be opinionated but pragmatic about choices and support the team to deliver valuable software
What you will be working with…
- NodeJS (12+)
- React / React Typescript
- Google cloud (inc. pub/sub, storage and compute)
- Microservice architecture
- Domain driven design (inc. domain events)
Good stuff you’ll get...
You’ll get an industry benchmarked salary (circa £45k) , but we’re also offering a (genuinely) amazing benefits package, remote-first development (a couple of visits a month to Birmingham or Portsmouth) working, purpose designed work spaces and amazing people to work with. You’ll be encouraged to attend training and conferences, work to a personal development plan and be offered real career progression
