Duties: Participate in technical design to ensure successful implementation of the line of business new data governance echo system. Modernize applications and migrate them onto cloud infrastructure to improve application scalability, security, and resiliency. Design and implement new micro-services and inverse of control followed by the domain driven design and best development practices. Develop and deploy applications in a mission-critical production environment. Work with data modeler to analyze business use cases, and optimize physical and business data models for long-term solutions. Incorporate line of business architectural standards into application design specifications. Contribute ideas for product improvements and solutions to technology challenges. Support new developers' onboarding and help mentor junior and intermediate developers. Provide production support to mitigate any customers' impacts in timely manner. Work with upstream and downstream teams to elicit and document business requirements. Implement test automation.


Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Analyst or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in lieu of the Master's degree and three (3) year of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires experience in the following: Architecture and design across all systems; Developmental toolsets including PgAdmin, BitBucket, Maven, BlackDuck and Raven; Integrated development environment including IntelliJ and Eclipse; Programming languages including Java, Python, and Bash Shell Script; Programming framework including J2EE, Spring framework, AngularJs, and ReactJs; Business analysis, software development, application maintenance and improvement; Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Test-Driven Development and Behavioral Driven Development using testing framework including Junit, Mockito, Selenium, Cucumber, and Spring Test; Application workflow orchestration using Control-M; CI/CD using Jenkins pipeline; Application design using Domain Driven Design and micro-service architecture; Application performance monitoring using tools including Grafana, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics; Data visualization using tools including Kibana and Tableau; Database modeling and development using SQL; Cloud technologies, including building and deploying applications on the PaaS including Cloud Foundry, Docker and Kubernetes; Big Data development using Apache Hadoop echo system, including data storage in Optimized Row Columnar(ORC), resource management by Apache Hadoop Yarn, stream processing by Kafka, Hadoop MapReduce, Apache Spark, Apache Hive; Security access controls by Apache Ranger or Sentry; and Developing and, deploying applications on Infrastructure as a Service(Iaas)or Containers as a Service(CaaS).
