Duties: Improve design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software applications. Perform the software design and code review of applications. Implement unit test and API testing and monitor production issues. Document the flow of the JPMC software applications. Participate in the scrum activity which includes daily standup, scrum planning, demo, and desk check. Apply SOA principles, design patterns, Java concurrency patterns and build thread-safe code.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as a Software/Systems Engineer, IT consultant, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree plus seven (7) years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree plus three (3) years of experience.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills: server side languages including Java 8 and J2EE; Application servers like WebSphere or Tomcat; SOAP and REST web services using Java, XML markup language JAX-WS, messaging services like JMS; OOP and SOA principles; design patterns; Java concurrency patterns; building thread-safe code; Annotation; Enum; Collections, Generics, Multithreading, and Regular Expressions; Spring including Spring Framework, Spring IOC, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot; Web Security including Cross Site Scripting and HTTP injection; Agile environment; IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ; Build and deployment tools including Jenkins, Maven, Git and BitBucket.
