At Sendle

Australia, New Zealand, USA, Philippines

Sendle builds shipping that is good for the world. We help small business thrive by making parcel delivery simple, reliable and affordable. We’re a B Corp and the first 100% carbon neutral delivery service in Australia and United States, where we harness major courier networks to create a delivery service that levels the playing field for small businesses.

We envision a world where small businesses can compete on a level playing field with the big guys. Sendle is a fast-growing business with bold ambitions and big dreams. Plus, we’re Australia's first 100% carbon neutral shipping service and a certified BCorp.

In the last year alone, we’ve made huge strides towards our goal of becoming the largest SMB eCommerce courier in the world, moving from a single country operation in Australia to successful launch and operation in the US.  We also launched major partnerships with eBay and Shopify recently, too!

But most importantly, we’re a bunch of good people doing good work. Wanna join us?

Sendle continues to grow into new markets, launching new products that help our customers manage the logistics side of their businesses. As we do, we support an increasing number of partners who rely on Sendle to support their users. Our partners range from multinationals to first time startups, from marketplaces to open source plugins, and each brings new solutions and challenges.

We’re looking for a Partner Integration Specialist to join our team to support our existing partner integrations, and to help us launch new partners and features. This varied role has a technical foundation, with opportunities to expand into technical sales, operations support, or technical writing. It’s a great opportunity for a technical writer, business analyst or engineer looking to learn more about partnerships, technical writing, or technical sales.

What you’ll do
  • Support our Partnership, Support and Engineering teams to provide excellent technical understanding of the Sendle system to new and existing partners. You’ll help maintain our public API documentation, integration guides, partnership pages, and technical help centre guides, and provide users with clear, comprehensive advice. You might even act as a subject matter expert to help answer questions directly with partners.
  • You’ll help our internal teams to understand our API, and how different partners integrate with Sendle. You will understand Sendle’s role in the market, and how different partners solve customer needs.
  • Maintain internal documentation for partner integrations, ensuring it is clear and up to date. You’ll fully understand the integration from both the user and technical perspective, and be able to explain it to internal technical and non-technical teams.
  • Maintain and monitor dashboards to help the team understand integration performance. You will understand how our performance and reliability affect different partners, and help the team to respond to incidents as part of a continuous improvement process.
  • Work with Engineering and Partnership teams to help onboard and quality test integrations built by new or existing partners.
  • Identify, plan, and champion optimisations to partner integrations to improve their performance, reliability, and maintainability. You can put yourself in the user’s shoes and step through how an integration works.
  • Identify, scope, and prototype new types of integration, making Sendle available for new platforms and markets. For example, prototyping an integration with a no-code platform. How far you go down this path depends on your appetite for it.
What you’ll need
  • Great communication and organisation skills. You’re equally comfortable answering a technical question to our support team as you are working with engineers to understand how a change will impact a partner integration.
  • You have a background as an engineer, analyst or technology power user. You understand how to work with APIs, integrations and plugins, and how to approach technical documentation. You’re comfortable wrangling JSON, CSV and other data types, and have your favourite tools to do so. You might even know a little SQL.
  • You can understand technical concepts, but more importantly you can explain them to both technical and non-technical audiences. You have great written communication skills, and can give clear explanations in simple language. Experience with technical writing is a big plus.
  • Data driven when it comes to performance and reliability. Experience with Datadog, Tableau or similar metrics and dashboard tools is a plus.
  • You’ve worked in cross functional teams or as the technical specialist within an operations, support or sales team.
  • The ability to manage and prioritise new and recurring work across multiple partners in multiple countries. Ideally you have an eye for seeing where processes can be automated or optimised.
