Vidyard has successfully moved to a Remote First operating model. So whether you are located close to one of Vidyard’s collaboration spaces in Kitchener, ON and Vancouver, BC, or if home is anywhere else in Canada, you will be an integral part of the team.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for technical support related inquiries for Vidyard platform
  • Work directly with customers predominantly via email and online chat
  • Respond to questions from customers of varying technical expertise
  • Collect environment details, prioritize and escalate issues, determine root cause
  • Reproduce and diffuse issues to ensure an optimal resolution for the customer
  • Develop creative solutions for customers to meet their individual needs 

To be an effective team member, you will have:

  • Post-secondary education in a related business, communications or technical discipline
  • 3 – 5 years experience in a customer facing role providing world class support and service on a variety of technical and non-technical matters
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be a proven problem solver and have technical troubleshooting ability
  • Takes initiative when they have a lack of knowledge in a subject area
  • Demonstrate a passion for assisting customers
  • Excellent organizational and professional skills to deliver the highest level of customer service
  • Have the ability to track and manage issues to resolution using a ticketing system
  • Be flexible and willing to respond to requests at varying hours
  • Have a demonstrated ability and passion for learning new technologies
  • HTML, CSS and Javascript experience – we’re not looking for website developers, but we are looking for people who can demonstrate an ability to troubleshoot in these languages and can offer solutions to address problems
  • Can operate in a fast paced environment where you will continue to learn and grow as the Vidyard products develop
  • Able to prioritize tasks and self manage their workload.
  • A friendly and compassionate attitude towards work colleagues in an environment where everyone strives to support each other
  • A willingness to have fun along the way!

Some nice to haves include:

  • Experience working with (and contributing to) a knowledge base
  • Experience with Zendesk, Jira, Salesforce and Intercom
  • Experience working with Video technologies
  • Have an understanding of SSO, SEO, Google Analytics, Excel functions and Databases
  • Ability to work with APIs using tools such as Postman and understand webhooks.
  • Bilingual (French) an asset
  • Experience using browser ‘Inspect page’ developer Chrome Inspect tools to troubleshoot webpage issuesConsole
