Job Description

What You’ll Do: 

  • Design AWS solutions to meet the functional needs of our applications and the security needs of our cybersecurity program.

  • Operate in a collaborative, agile environment with a focus on transparency and team success.

  • Build AWS infrastructure for systems that use combinations of serverless components and traditional server-hosted applications.

  • Implement repeatable solutions using IaC technologies to support proofs-of concept, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.

  • Provide direction and guidance in the strategic maturation of existing infrastructure.

  • Help us achieve and maintain compliance with information security best practices and industry regulations.

  • Engage with peers to review solutions and help ensure our team delivers readable, maintainable, and extensible solutions.

  • Share your knowledge and grow with your peers in a small, cross-disciplinary team.


Ideal candidate has: 

  • Proficiency designing and deploying AWS infrastructure to meet the needs of APIs, microservices, asynchronous tasks, and other backend systems

  • Experience managing AWS infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC technologies

  • Proficiency administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Linux based systems 

  • Experience designing network infrastructure for security and compliance

  • Familiarity with security standards, such as NIST, CMMC, PCI, or HIPPA

  • Proficiency with learning new technologies, techniques, and practices

  • Understanding of software engineering best practices

  • Enthusiasm for Scrum and Agile methodologies

  • At least two years of experience building and maintaining AWS Cloud solutions using IaC technologies

  • Five or more years of relevant work experience in DevOps and Systems Administration

Compensation is competitive and includes 20 days of vacation, 10 federal holidays, 9 days of sick leave. We cover 100% of health care premiums as well as the premiums for short and long-term disability plus life insurance. We offer paid parental leave, a work-from-home stipend, and we contribute 3% to a 401K.
